Omega 3 is a classification of polyunsaturated fatty acids (good or healthy fats) known as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Known as ‘Essential Fatty Acids’ because they cannot be manufactured by the body and must be obtained through diet. EFA’s are found in oily fish, flaxseeds, nuts and seeds.
